This is My Story

This piece is about struggling with self expression as a queer person. For a while I experimented with different presentations in order to prove my queerness to myself. The print is a caricature of my face with a dissatisfied expression. The features are exaggerated. Especially on the black and white side which represents coming into your own and doing the most to prove yourself. The side with the flower paper is more simple and represents that you do not need to look one to be validated in your identity.
