We've Been Here

As I stand here
Against this great pine
I think about all these cool designs 
That we call lines 
Underneath my feet
They've been here 

As I run through this forest
Me n’ my lacrosse stick
Dodging these trees
All I feel is happiness
And a forcing breeze

They make me feel welcome
I've been here  

With my brothers and sisters beside me
We sing our songs
We dance to our songs 
We try our best to keep our tradition strong
We’re staying here

As you look around mother earth
And creation
You realize everything is connected 
Root to root 
Vine to vine
Bloodline to bloodline 
All of creation has been connected since sky woman touched the turtles back
We've been here
