Shane Ravel Jackpaul (he/him) is a photographer and emerging filmmaker based in Scarborough, Ontario. His work focuses on capturing moments of connection and emotion, translating complex feelings into images and films that evoke wonder, curiosity, and possibility. Fascinated by the transformative power of visual storytelling, Shane’s work invites viewers to experience the world through fresh, imaginative perspectives. His work has been exhibited at Gallery 44, MakeRoom Gallery, and the CONTACT Photography Festival.

Shane is currently expanding his artistic practice into filmmaking, a medium that allows him to delve deeper into narratives of identity, community, and social justice. Through film, he seeks to amplify underrepresented voices and stories, creating works that challenge perceptions and spark meaningful dialogue. For Shane, filmmaking represents a powerful tool to bring together images, sound, and movement to craft stories that not only resonate emotionally but also inspire action and reflection. His passion for storytelling is rooted in a desire to connect people to each other and to the world around them in profound and transformative ways.
