Domestic violence: is a pattern of behaviour used by one person to gain power and control over another person with whom they have or previously had an intimate relationship. This includes sexual abuse, physical violence, emotional abuse, spiritual abuse, financial abuse, cyber- violence etc.

Not everyone knows where to go when they 

can’t share what happens behind closed doors…

Not everyone gets to know the story behind the smiles…

Not everyone has smiles that stay painted on after the show…

It comes from those we thought we could trust…

From the inside and the faces we know

The one crime you never think could happen to someone you know…

Not everyone gets to live a life saying they they’ve never gotten the message,

Not a bright neon sign but a quiet whisper. 

The message that harm is on their doorstep 

Love is the biggest mystery the world’s ever seen
